Susan Dworkin has written half a dozen plays and published 14 books, including her biography of Bess Myerson, “Miss America, 1945: Bess Myerson and the Year That Changed Our Lives.” Writer and historian Peter Tsouras will discuss his latest book, “Balloons, Bayonets & Ironclads: Britain and France Take Sides With the South” at the Library of Congress. The talk will take place Wednesday, March 4 at noon in the Library’s Mary Pickford Theater. The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.
